Silk Screen Printing

Silk screen printing is one of the most used and ancient techniques for copying. Today, it is still the best and most used technique in its field, thanks to its durability and prices, lower than other techniques.

Silk screen Printing process consists in printing a positive design photolite and then place it on the silk screen, so the result will be negative. This silk screen will work as matress to copy the positive design.

It is for this reason that silk screen printing is recommended if the design has few colors. If the design has many colors, the costs will be higher and the process will be more complex. So silk screen printing is recommended specially for 1 or 2 color designs. Even though, results are OK up to 4 colors.

Due to process and requirements silk screen printing demands, it is important to work with vector designs, so the final result would not has wrong pixels or quality mistakes. It is also important to separate colors correctly, in case the design has more than 1 color.
